The only way other than that is to embed, and you can't do that I don't think.0

I see no reason to get offended by some mealy mouth stranger, who appears to be stuck on himself and looking for attention.
If you get offended over something like that, you are giving power over your life to a complete stranger. Not logical and not productive.0 -

I watched about 2 minutes of it, the language is not MFP appropriate so embedding it here would be bad. It's a shirtless guy ranting and cursing a lot about how he finds fat people disgusting and lazy. I imagine it's supposed to be motivational, but as I said, I only got through about 2 minutes. Supposedly he's a former drill sergeant turned fitness instructor or something, and that's his justification for the language, but I found it off-putting and not worth my time. I'm used to the colorful language of the military, but this really isn't someone whose opinions I'm interested in hearing.0 -
Haha, I randomly clicked on it. I found it mildly offensive from the tone of voice and the swearing, but not the content. By the end I understood his frustration & why he's so angry. It's a big problem, and I definitely understand his argument. I take the blame of my weight gain wholeheartedly, that I've mismanaged my life. I object to the word "lazy" for myself, but it is something that I fear about myself and may be true. I see myself as more incompetent and confused.
I think that he should probably also be aware that not every fat person eats fast food. Some eat healthy foods but in the wrong portions and wrong proportions. For example, cheese isn't the devil, but having a huge amount of it every day is going to cause weight gain if you're not exercising (aka my life).
But the cycle of fat-parent-bad-habits-fat-kid is a big problem, and I agree that I don't know what else is going to fix it. Personally, I feel like as a fat kid I got coddled by adults. I don't know how well I would have responded to an adult telling me I needed to lose weight, and eat more vegetables. I don't know the right answer because sometimes kids rebel and feel alone when that happens. But because I had a fat parent, I thought it wasn't a big deal. I didn't really learn how to exercise regularly, I feel. We rarely ate fast food, but the habits were still bad even though everyone was trying.
And even now I'm astonished at how my doctor tiptoed around the fact I was obese. I needed a wake up call much earlier than I did, from randomly googling BMI.
In short, I'm offended by being called lazy though it may be true, I don't like getting yelled at, so that's uncomfortable and stressful to listen to. But I think his points are valid. Except the one about overweight people being disgusting - that's not true. The overweight BMI category, in my opinion, houses some very nice looking people. Obesity, we're probably not stunners. But I still object to using the word "disgusting". It's just mean and it doesn't help, and more often than not it isn't true. What comes across most is his frustration and confusion at this issue, and I sympathize. I find it scary myself.0 -
Ha I'm random lol
Strong opinion of a young buck - may he age gracefully, with greater wisdom in a conducive environment and continue excellent health

I watched it while eating a Snickers ice cream bar. I think he needs one too.0

I went and looked at his page, he's a real peach. Thinks he is starting a fitness revolution and compares himself to Ghandi and Martin Luther King Jr. 0/10 would not follow him or watch another video.0

The funny thing is...He can be thousand times right but because of his language i didn't even finish watching and wont take him serious ever.
With me a lot of people of my generation i think.
Shame0 -
I agree with what he says, particularly about the influence parents have on their children. People have so many excuses. Although somewhat aggressive in his approach he wasn't entirely unreasonable. Anyone can make small changes.0

Watched about 2 minutes. He sounds like trying to shame people. Fairly proven shaming doesn't work to stop behaviors, it just works to cause hiding behaviors.
I'm not particularly offended, I just fail to see the point. If he actually both understood overall health and truly cared about making people healthy, he wouldn't be going off on people angrily on Facebook. I'd honestly say, what he really wants is to judge people, be better than them, and mask it behind a false pretense of helping people.0 -

Lol I'm wondering if this guy hits the overweight spectrum of the BMI scale when hes bulking.
That'd be pretty awkward.
Right?

that would be fantastic! haha omg0 -
This was great!! No sugar coating, just being direct and to the point. If I were to hire a trainer, he's exactly the kind I would want.0
-
No. His points are good. Delivery could use some work.
I think this type of thing really is more or less frustration against the HAES fat is beautiful/honor my curves stuff from the fat acceptance crowd.0 -
No, he is harsh for sure but he has his opinion, and well, being too bland may not be good either. then again bashing and being like this may not be good either.
but the whole fat embrace movement or whatever does get on my nerves, people aren't less for being fat,but being like "yay i'm 300 lbs and it's so ok!" no it's not0 -
I agree with him.0
-
Nope not offended but the comments make me laugh. Loads of people saying 'Actually I can't lose weight due to x excuse and x excuse'. Snort.0
-
I clicked on it
I decided I didn't like his face in the initial screenshot so I didn't watch it
What? From reading this thread I decided his message was about valuing people on their physical appearance alone isn't it?
Oh andI watched it while eating a Snickers ice cream bar. I think he needs one too.
Everybody needs one of those (179 calories...I know that off by heart)0 -

Right?
That would be around 0% awkward. BMI? Really?
Anyone offended by this is too easily offended.0 -

Lol are you assuming that I solely rely on BMI?

Not offended but also don't really care about what he has to say. I only listened to about 30 seconds so his overall message might have been one that I agree with (or not, who knows since I didn't listen to it all) but his delivery style bugged me so I turned it off.0
-
I agree with what he had to say... The language was a little over the top haha and I was distracted by his tattoos... Lmao0

not offended, totally agree. I he did mention that he went out and ate out at a restaurant but i think what he means by "cut your sugar" and "stay away from fast food" is all the time. Some people just always grab a big mac and constantly eat snacks high in sugar which is high in calories. Most people dont understand that sugar means calories and you can cut calories any way even without cutting sugar.0

I'm in this camp ^^^^^ Exactly what I did.
