calorie counter or heart rate?

is the cardio calorie counter more or less accurate than heart rate for determining calories burnt? if going by heart rate its a lot more?

Which calorie counter are you using, if it's MFP your heart rate would be a better indicator doing steady state cardio.0

the one on the machine. thanks for your help

the ones on the machine are very inflated, even when using your heart rate. from my morning work out the ellipitical gave me over a 700 calorie burn, while my activity monitor gave 496, they both were using the same sensor, and giving me the same heart rate. Some say that HRM aren't accurate, but it's accurate enough for me, nothing will be 100% accurate.0
