Are you counting calories on MFP, doing WW's or following a totally different diet? If you're doing a totally different diet then calorie counting on MFP or WW's, what particular diet plan are you following? Just curious to see what everyone's doing?

I just found MFP a few days ago, so far I am loving it. I am currently eating a high protein, lower carb, lower glycemic diet.

I'm not doing any particular diet as such.....I have been dieting my whole life though!!! I've been on MFP since Feb but needed to get serious as I hadn't lost much.....so I'm doing a 12 week challenge where I cut out all alcohol, junk food, anything processed, soda or diet soda....basically eating clean, my plan is to lose a further 6 kilos (lost 12 so far 8 of those before MFP) and I want to make clean eating part of my life 90% of the time....initially this was very daunting, but eating clean really is amazing, I have heaps of energy and feel better in general....I was never a big junk food eater anyway but LOVE my wine and cheese platters!!!!

In changing my macro's to match my personal goals of 0.5 grams per pound of body weight (for protein) my numbers ended up at 40% carbs 30% protein and 30% fat... which I believe is the south beach ratios? I've got a gym membership that hasn't been used in nearly 2 months, and now that warm weather is here I'm disputing with myself the point of the membership when I have easy access to nice trails to be outside etc.

I constructed my own diet based on biochemical responses in the body. I pretty much eat 2 protein days, try to stay 50grams of carbs on those days. Then on day 3 I just eat everything Mostly high carb on day 3. I eat 1 time a day, in the evening. Anywhere from 1500 calories on some days, to 4000 on others. This method I have lost 20lbs in 3 weeks.

0 Sugars, 0 heavy cream items (Sour cream, Mayo). No Pop - Water Water Water and Weight lifting. That and entering in on MFP so I can watch what I'm eating.

For the last two years, I have been watching my calories and training in kung fu. Kung fu is the main reason I've lost most of my weight and gained lots of muscle, noticeably in arms and quads (can't see the abs, yet, but I can feel they are there). This is mainly because i found something I LOVE to do and do often and it is rigorous training. As far as logging my exercise, I tend to underestimate, purposely, b/c I find it hard to believe that I am burning as much as it is saying and because I have been doing this long enough that my body is probably pretty efficient while doing those particular exercises. Wish I could get an HRM to test this, but not in the budget.

I've counted calories throughout, played with carbs and protein, recently and found that too low of carbs plays wacky things with my energy and body. I wasn't able to train well without shakes, dizziness, and heart palpitations throughout entire day. Didn't want ANYTHING to interfere with training, so upped my carbs and back to just counting calories.

I weighed in yesterday, I lost 20lbs total in 3 weeks. My diet "outline" is in a previous post. I just reviewed "the new diet" it's too low in protein and too high in carbs. It can lead to an unhealthy muscular system. Due to the most fundamental macro nutrient for human skeletal repair.

My diet is in my blog, in this blog i talk about macro nutrients and how they effect the body. At the bottom it talks about my current diet plan. I am planning to make a workout designed around growth hormone production.

I am just counting calories on MFP. I have always eaten fairly healthy (plenty of veg, fiber, etc.), my portion sizes were just way too large. For me, counting calories is easy enough because for the most part all I have done is scale back on the quantity of what I eat.
