Does anyone else feel this sometimes?

Sometimes I feel like I've over eaten and somehow gone over my calories when MFP says I'm actually under my calories. Like today I had breakfast, a small lunch and dinner and thought I'd gone over but I still have extra calories. I am weighing everything so MFP must be correct, right?

    Well 1200-1400 calories isn't much...

Are you weighing the solid foods you eat and measuring the liquids? If not you are probably eating a lot more than you enter into MFP

As long as you are weighing and measuring you really should be good. I do like to double check what MFP has vs. food labels if it's a concern. You can always correct something that's wrong on here.

I get that sometimes, but when I do it's usually around the 3000 mark..! I just have to remember how quickly I lose weight if I don't eat enough these days. Of course I'm trying to gain, but it still happens.

I'll feel that way if I have a large calorie dense meal. The meal is more volume, but less calories then I usually have.

I feel like since I have gotten used to smaller portions, sometimes i'm like huh..I have 300 calories left for the day and I don't even want anything.

I have a 1540 goal. I often eat something ...just because. I had chicken last night..and after I weiged it out to 3 oz, I realized I did not even want that much.

I can eat a large pizza like a boss though. that looks really small. So I'm not ALL fixed.

Just because you feel like you've eaten too much doesn't mean you have. As long as you are entering accurate information into it, I'd trust MFP. That means, using a food scale for as much as you can, even if the food comes in pre-portioned packages because the portion sizes on the label are not always what you're getting. It also means choosing the right entries and overestimating calories when you aren't sure.

I'm working on getting off of weighing everything. I still do it, but I don't log and see calories until I'm done eating for the day. More often than not, I'm under instead of over. Not sure if that's because I'm trying not to eat too much or if I just really don't want all the food. But when I don't log, I found out that I eat less.

Paying attention to stuff like this helps us fix it! :)
