I'm the first one up again? Very unusual.

Yesterday, we rode to the store and I did a 2 mile walk. Might be more of the same today, although, I'm trying to talk husband into going to the "lost pines" place I was talking about the other day. It's going to be 80 degrees today, so it should be a perfect time to check out the terrain. Eventually, I'll clean my house as well. Need to do more raking leaves and could probably use milk & zucchini - so another trip to the store.

Happy workouts y'all!

Mary

I've been up...just got busy with our budget

I freaked when I stepped on the scale and saw I was up 8 pounds!!!! So now it's all about focusing on the eating/water/exercise for me! I'll change my ticker at the end of the week when I weigh-in again!

    Good morning,
I'm still around. It's hard to get on a computer around here. It's also hard to stay away from all the junk food! Lots of chocolate. I should not be around that stuff right now. I've been struggling with depression so I just eat. I don't feel physically up to working out yet either.
Good thing though is that we got a wii and wii fit for Christmas! I can start doing that this week to help get me motivated again. If the weather's nice next week I will start walking again. Still dealing with lightheadedness also so I need to start out slow.
Not much other news. I will be back to check in on Monday probably. I hope to be back on track by then.
    Have a good weekend!

    Mornin' . . .

Yesterday, instead of bikram I did a run/walk (C25K week 3) and a steam shower session. I was still very woozy, and didn't want to get locked in the hot room for 90 minutes. That's the only drawback to bikram, is that if you're not feeling strong to begin with, it's never going to go well for you. Or, as I've put it to my husband "some days you do the yoga. . .and some days the yoga does you."

Today, it's cardio and weights (upper body) and date night tonight.

I made a super cool spreadsheet workout chart to track 8 weeks. I did this thing from the Oprah magazine (yep, I'm a loser. . . ) where you examine the anxieties that are keeping you from your goals. I actually found a few, so I'm doing a "test" for 8 weeks where I commit to my goals to see if the scary things actually happen. It works out that starting tomorrow, it's exactly 8 weeks til Feb 28. . .

I'm also trying to be slightly more aware of my food choices, just gently reminding myself that I actually really like watermelon and cucumbers with hummus. (not together.) And although I do like potato chips and ice cream very, very much. . .they're not full of nutrients exactly. (just deliciousness)

    Take care, ladies. . .:flowerforyou:

Oh, and Renae, I find that, without any effort, I can gain up to ten pounds of stress/hormone/sodium weight some weeks. It will most likely drop right off now that the holidays are over. . .

Good morning, ladies (well, not technically morning anymore... I've been lazy so far today)! Mary, I'm jealous of your weather. It is cold here, but at least at the moment it is sunny, so that's a blessing. MM, have fun with the Wii! I had been thinking of getting one for my hubby, and was amazed that no one in town had them. I figured since it came out a couple years ago that it wouldn't be a problem - oops! :embarassed:

I had TWO waffles for a late breakfast so I'm thinking that I should be good until dinner with maybe a mid-afternoon snack. At least I had a whole lot of berries with them!

Pushups today, and working on my project and other errands. Have a good weekend, all! :flowerforyou:

Hi, everyone! So far today I've done an exercise video, some weights, elliptical and stairstepper. I'm really trying to amp up the exercise on the weekends since that's the one place I've been missing it, and it's the time of week I have the most trouble not eating too much. So, I'll try to not eat so much on the weekend and exercise more. I think that will help with my goals.

Hope everyone is having a great day!:flowerforyou:

Hey everyone. I had a terrible night at work; ended up in tears and mental breakdown. All good now, and thankful for today being planned "off" day. Trying sooooo hard not to gobble up all the junk for comfort. Will check in tomorrow!

Last on as usual, oh well. I went out with my oldest daughter and snowshoed up the hill and we then proceeded to snow shoe up and down a hill to pack down the snow so we could go sliding. So I felt entitled to the hot cocoa my middle daughter made us. I took her dog out and spent 1/2 hour telling him to let go of my coat as I was trying to slide down the hill. Take one 6 month old yellow lab puppy and a middle age lady on a big blue snowboat and you could film us and send it in to America's funniest home videos. At one point he just ran next to me until he got tired and proceeded to sit on my head. Honestly though we had a great time. My goal is to snow shoe up the hill everyday I have a chance and keep on packing down the sliding area. I never got around to getting on the scales so it will have to wait till I get back from my mom's place. She is going is for her biopsy and I want to be there so tomorrow I will drive for about 3 hours. Good thing I like to sing in the car. Have a great rest of the weekend and if I'm not back for a couple of days I'll be busy.
