Filling left calories - Carbs or Fat?

Im a 22 year old male, weighting 157 lbs at 6 feet. Im pretty lean, probably around 7-9% measured with callipers.

Anyway, im trying to gain lean muscle. I've figured out after trial and error that my maintenance is around 2350 cals. So i have upped it up to 2500 for a slow and steady muscle gain.

Im following the 1g of protein per pound, so that accounts for 157g of protein. My question is, i have around 200 cals of calories to fill and i dont want to increase any more the protein intake. Should i up my carbs which now stand at 305g or my fats which are now around 70g? Keep in my mind i think im not very good at metabolizing carbs.

So what's you opinion? More carbs or some healthy fats?

just depends on your body, if you know you don't do well with carbs id increase protein and fat. personally, I can easily eat 250-300g carbs and really don't function well on any less than 200g and fats don't digest well for me. all depends on your body

I would seriously consider trying to reverse diet a bit though. at your height, if you are doing ANY training at all, you should be eating around 2800-3000 cals a day

if you are trying to bulk then the majority if your calories should come from carbs…

.65 to .85 grams of protein per pound of body weight….45 grams of fat per pound of body weight and the rest carbs

What this guy said. Carbs are very beneficial during a bulk.
