Strong heart and knees - try SQUASH!!!

I am totally addicted to playing squash and have found it an excellent way to lose weight...obviously it's extremely strenuous both on the knees and on the heart so it's not suitable for everyone.

Fewer and fewer people are playing squash in Scotland with courts sitting empty fairly often and I don't know why - it was hugely popular when my dad was younger but there aren't that many people younger than me palying it now (I'm 33).

Should you be looking to try something intense / high speed / all action - this is the game for you...

The secret is to find someone at a similar level initially until you learn the basics, get used to the movement of the ball and understand the angles....once you improve - find peope better than you and the challenge keeps getting better....

As long as you're playing a decent opponent, there no better cardiovascular work out in my opinion!
