Ok so, during and after Christmas I found myself yo-yoing between 217-223lbs, but...I got off my lazy butt and worked out. I stepped on the scale this morning, after spending most of my evenings using my mini bike, gravity walker, walking, cleaning out cupboards and baking (only healthy foods mind  ) & drinking water like it's going out of fashion!
I am now 215lbs !!!
Now, I have managed this despite cancelling my gym membership after they moved everything out and now have all the equipment facing the wall! The personal lockers for mobile phones and purse/wallet which were in the gym - where you could keep an eye on them had also been moved - they are now situated outside the gym out of sight :noway:
I told the gym, if I wanted to stare are the brick wall for an hour on end, I'd be at home, and cancelled my membership, it's bad enough they have communal showers - which I refused to use - would go home and use mine, and having no spa! But I found moving all the equipment was the last straw for me.
My DH has decided to turn my summer house (which I rarely use as our garden faces the wrong way and therefore gets no sun!) into a gym - and he's already got half the equipment sorted out for me YAY   :flowerforyou: :drinker:
I can now workout in my own personal gym, to my own choice of music videos and have a shower STRAIGHT after :drinker:

*CONGRATS* Jackie! That's awesome!
I work out at home too & really like it.0 -
I have a treadmill at home that I use. I used to set my portable DVD player on the book stand, but the speakers blew out from turning the volume up too loud (treadmill makes too much noise apparently). Anyway, so now I'm lucky enough that my laptop is skinny enough to slide underneath the book stand and stay there while I chat, check e-mail, read, play games, watch videos, etc. . Helps pass the time!

Hmmm, now that's an idea, might have to take my laptop out to my gym too
I'm getting a treadmill in the near future - can't wait
Got a mini bike, gravity walker, toner thingy, 3kg weights, leg & hjand weights and a pilates ball at mo, having an exercise bike delivered next week :bigsmile:0 -

Yeah, it's awesome aint it, I've only got half my set up so far, but I'm getting there :bigsmile:0 -
Shopped around and joined a gym for the first time last week. FInally found one that fits my needs. Pretty small place. 12 ellipticals, 12 treamills and one cycle of nautalis strenght training machines and a few free weight options. Place is only staffed ten hours a day but you get an access card to get in after hours. (Plenty of police call buttons around in case of trouble ect..) I needed a gym that would let me work out when I had the time (which is most often "off hours". Doesnt hurt that every cardio machine has it's own flatscreen tv with cable and a headphone jack lol. Loving it so far.
However a personal Gym would be better! grats Jackie!!:drinker:  :drinker: :bigsmile:0 -
