Looking for a weight loss help

I am a severely overweight thirty-year-old male looking for simple exercises I can do with single dumbbell (with adjustable weight) in my room to help with weight loss. Videos, guides or anything will be a massive help. I will have a treadmill with a week to do some cardio, if that matters.

oh, and buy a food scale and weigh your food, stay within your calorie allowance, the best way to lose weight is portion size and exercise.0

Fat loss comes from what and how much you eat. Lifting weights can help you maintain muscle mass and gain strength. Lift better and less food to your mouth, lift heavier weights using compound movements with good form to gain/maintain muscle and strength.

I figure you could do most exercises for a pair of dumbells but one arm at a time.
As others have said, food intake is the key to weight loss. That said, starting weight training now will help you keep your lean body mass and will give you better long term results.
It might also be worth googling kettle bell exercises as a lot of those are one arm. (Anything where you're swinging the weight will be more difficult as you've got to grip tighter onto a dumbell but it might give you some ideas).
Good luck, you can do this!0 -
Thanks for the help:)
I'll look more into portion size and consider a food scale. At the moment, I'm just winging this on my own.0
