I honestly didn't know anyone was still doing Banting. So retro.
Of course, Banting's method was pretty much a low-carb approach, so I suppose it's not *that* retro, I guess.0 -
Thanks to another thread a couple of days ago, and never having heard about the Banting diet, i assumed this was a diet where you ate nothing but a cheeky Nando's every day for two weeks.0

Does it take willpower for you personally to stick to High protein high fat?
How long do you need that willpower for?
Does it become more natural and something easier after a few weeks?
Is it the kind of thing you've tried before. Did you crash & burn?
If you are answering yes to a lot of the above questions then it might be worthwhile considering whether this is the right approach for you to reach your CI<CO weight loss equation.
The thing I think is most important with losing weight is sustainability ...if it is just a matter of willpower it doesn't sound brilliant, if it's a lifestyle adjustment and learning curve and it works for you or you have an into maintenance plan following a major habit adjustment then it could be a solution
But only you can decide on that0 -
Banting?
I missed that one
Sounds hard....
Maybe a balanced diet with a good calorie limit will be easier?
I hope you find something you can live with long term.
This does not have to be hard. It is kind of easy really.

Yes. Banting is the origin on a lot of low-carb diets (though IIRC he didn't invent it, just promoted it heavily after losing weight on it).

It takes willpower and commitment to stick to any eating plan. You just have to find what works for uou and that will prob change from time to time.0

So it's a different name for low carb? Regardless, changing your eating habits take work and commitment. Only you can do this and you have to want it to do it.0
