Sodium and the tight/loose wedding ring...

You'd think that after dropping 90 lbs, my wedding ring would be continually loose, but...

Depending on my sodium intake and perhaps a couple unknown factors, there are days that my ring is so snug you'd think I hadn't lost a single pound yet.

Does anyone else experience this fluctuation?

I notice it most between when my hands are hot and cold. I usually don't take in a lot of sodium, so couldn't really tell there.

Hmm, it has been unusually hot here the past few days, I suppose that could have something to do with it this week at least.

LOL My test for how I'm doing on sodium and water intake during the day is to see how lose my engagment ring is! If Ihave any sort of line on my finger at all from it, I know I need ot pump up my water intake or watch my sodium for the rest of the day.

Kudos on your amazing weight loss! I have the same problem with my ring. It drives me a crazy when one day my ring will come off easy and the next day it is super snug! I wish there was someting I could do about it, but I think it is between the heat/humidity and not keeping myself hydrated and not paying much attention to my sodium intake. I would need a miracle pill.

Funny you should mention that. I was noticing that I've lost one ring size since starting this. My rings spin around my finger and I'm afraid they are going to fall off. When clasping my hands, I almost feel like I'm holding a little kids hands. I'm guessing that I've cut way down on my salt intake. Used to love McDonald's salty french fries. LOL The only bummer is they are showing more wrinkles now. Not sure that's so good. All the food I have been eating is fresh, and homemade. I haven't eaten any processed food items in the month since starting this. (Except Humas). However, if I walk with my hands down, they really swell up.

My wedding ring shrunk to the point of not fitting about 3 years after getting married (been married 13 years). Every week when I weigh in now I go and try it on to see if it fits. Not quite there yet, but I suspect I am about 10lbs away (body weight not finger weight). That will be a huge NSV for me.
