Okay so hi, my name is Dom. I like green, Comicbooks, reading, and Buffy is one of my favorite shows. I have a beautiful girlfriend, and fantastic friends. And I drive/drove a scooter! Fun little things.
I did find myself looking in the mirror one day asking how did I let my self gain 80 extra pounds. That's a small child! Well, you see it started about 4 years ago I got this think called thyroid cancer, which led to them removing my thyroid. Then I ran out of insurance, didn't have my medicine for 1 1/2 years, which kickstarts my metabolizing. I ended up gaining close to 80lbs.
One might argue the weight gain wasn't really my fault. I had literally no metabolism. I slept 16hrs a day. But the food I ate, the habits I got into was my fault. I lost 10lbs in 2 months after I got my medicine and since finding this app I have lost 11llbs in 28 days.
If you stick to this you'll find great results! I have a long journey ahead of me, but I'm up for finding new friends along the day. I'll be your biggest supporter. And as we all know it's better with friends around then trying it solo. So hi, again. My name is Dom

I have Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease). Thyroid meds (in my case, Synthroid & Cytomel) reduce the fatigue so I can be more active. But I still kept gaining until I learned to log everything I eat & drink accurately & honestly. Logging works.
I followed the advice in the Sexypants post: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p10 -
Hi there, Dom! That's an incredible story of self endurance, what a motivational symbol of will power, and determination! I am currently 70 lbs overweight, and as far as I know I don't have any health issues like that, however health deterioration was what caused me to start down this path. My liver and kidneys just didn't seem to be functioning right at all, I couldn't afford a doctor, so I researched nutrition, and got on a diet pointing towards cleansing my body and making it stronger giving me the energy and state of mind that i wanted. 2 weeks later here i am, I have lost 10 lbs in two weeks... I know that sounds crazy, and if it were all fat that would be incredible! However i believe my crazy unhealthy lifestyle when countered by my new lifestyle, which is a high fiber diet, got rid of all of my access water and waste weight fast.
I think to myself how impressive it is that the body can hold that much excess of anything, and how gross it was that I was so unhealthy that i was holding that much. Anyways Dom, I am Brett, and I would be happy to support you and have you as a support!
