Sometimes just don't feel like eating? Or forget to eat? I have the problem of not eating sometimes and I know that it's not good for you. With classes and everything, there were days where I just simply didn't eat until late afternoon. I just didn't have the time or quite honestly I forgot.
I have some friends who have told me it's pure ridiculousness that I "forget" to eat. Am I the only one who this happens too??? Just curious.

No, I forget to eat a lot. I don't think it is strange at all.0

I forget to both eat and drink, depending on how busy I am. Since I started here I've tried to be a lot more conscious about what I eat, how much I eat, and when. But there's still days when I get busy, forget to eat a meal and then end up pigging out later. Ugh. But I'm sure you'll find, as I am doing, that as you eat mindfully those days become fewer and fewer.0

When I was in college, I forgot to eat all the time. In fact, it's 3:30 in CA and I'm just eating lunch. Busy days and busy lives are like that.0

I'm having a lot of trouble eating lately. I'm so excited today and yesterday I am going over calorie goal. It is not uncommon for me to forget entire hours of the day to realize "oh, I should eat something." then even so, I am not hungry at all.0

I forget to eat in the mornings, until all of a sudden I totally crash from low blood sugar. Why would they say its ridiculous?0

Since starting at this site, I've found I forget to eat quite a bit. I've been very busy and stressed too. I think since I've been eating better and smaller portions, I don't feel as hungry as often as I used to because I think my stomach has shrunk /0

Forget to eat
How u do this?0 -
I used to be like that, but I realized it's important to my weight lose to eat regularly. I now plan for busy times. Eating breakfast was a hard habit to get into. i now buy & do several things to make that easier. I buy almonds and separate them into ziplock snack bags. I keep a few in the glove compartment of my car. I also keep a larabar in my glove compartment. If I'm running errands and haven't had time to eat,it prevents me from not eating or eating fast food because I am starving. I also buy several dozen eggs at the farmer's market and boil at least a half a dozen at a time. If it's a rush rush morning, I can grab a hard boiled egg and go. I have several insulated lunch bags. if it's a busy day. I pack my lunch the night before. I can then grab and go and have good, healthy food choice throughout the day.
Part of this journey is relearning to eat properly, not just lose weight. I also carry either bottled water is a water bottle that holds 16oz of water. This way I remember to drink my water throughout the day.
The secret is planning.0 -
There have been times I don't eat because I was busy and time got away from me. However, now I plan for that and make sure I eat something. Feeding your body is so important. If I don't make myself a priority who will.0

Back when I was fat and clueless, it was pretty common for me to eat once a day. Sometimes I would forget, or just couldn't be bothered to go feed myself. Usually I would wait until I was ravenously hungry and then go eat something ridiculous like a box of mac and cheese and brownies.
These days it's impossible to "forget" to eat because, well, I'm obsessed with it. But there are times that I get tired of preparing food. Having a pretty steady routine helps because it takes some of the decision-making out of the equation.0 -

Whew...glad to know I'm not the only one!!! I'm hoping to do better in the next couple of weeks and I know it's all about planning. I need to be sure I have a plan of action in this journey, so I'm going to ensure I do well!!!0

All the time. MFP keeps me on track because I don't want to show empty "time slots" on my diary for the world to see. It makes me eat SOMEthing throughout the day... My husband is also good at reminding me to eat something.0 -
I've never forgotten to eat. I'm always thinking about what I'm going to eat next and when.
I have had days where I just don't feel like eating. But I always at least try to nibble on something.0 -
when I used to work retail I'd do it all the time. Pull a 16 hour day and get home at 11 pm and think "did I eat anything today?" Nope. totally unhealthy, but that's probably why I got so fat lol.0

i do that sumtimes... but make sure to replace tha lost calories.. or u will send ur body into starvation mode... and thats not good at all..0

^^^ Yup! I would just have coffee in the mornings getting ready for work, drive an hour to work, pull a 10-18 hour shift then drive home an hour. I would get home and "ahh *kitten*, I didn't eat today". By then I was too tired to eat and just go to bed. I would sleep 4-6 hours and do it all over. I stopped feeling hungry, and I would go until I got dizzy and shakey. When I did eat, it wasn't anything healthy...unless you count beef jerky and trail mix healthy. High stress + little sleep + bad eatting habits = weight gain.0
