Why is there no cal burn for most strength exercises that would be used in Crossfit or really any gym environment. I find it frustrating that I do a big WOD and it gives me zero calories burned...I usually have to throw in some kind of cardio to "fake" calories. I don't even care if it's exact, but it should show something.

Just set your goal calories at TDEE-20% and don't add exercise calories (since they're massively over the actual amounts on MFP anyway) then you won't be tempted to eat them back and erode your deficit.0

I am the same way. I Crossfit and don't really care about the calories I burn, just want the record of activity. I just put it in as Circuit training. You can manually change any calorie burn since MFP will come up with super high counts. Now I input it via my Garmin Vivofit and it will record it as Walking 2.0 (LOL)! Oh well, as long as I get credit for 60 mins of activity.0
