Hey all
So far I have been doing fairly well on my healthier lifestyle, but this week and last week I have gone WAY downhill. It's not as downhill as some people, but I still break almost every day with a treat and have gained 2 lbs back
Anyway, what do you all do when your cravings get out of control for more than a day?
& how do you bounce back?

If I'm going to cheat, I plan it.
No cheating until I'm cheating.
If I'm going to cheat, I have to work for it.
Head down, keep pushing until I'm cheating.
Perhaps a reward for doing what I'm supposed to be doing in the first place.0 -
Tomorrow is a new day. You may have lost a battle today, but you haven't lost the war. You're still here, still trying, and you still care about what you're eating.
Tomorrow will be better. You can do it.
For me, when I have a rough patch, it's a time for reflection. Why am I having this problem? Has something changed? Am I bored? What's causing this?
Once I see what's causing it, I can adapt my plan to make tomorrow better.0 -

I try to eat fruits and drink a lot of water the day after a splurge. I also don't ever think "Oh man I ruined my diet this morning/lunch/evening... so I might as well just ruin it for the rest of the day/week and eat all this other stuff." I end the splurge as soon as possible and then move on! Drink water, do some light exercise, relax. It's never as bad of a splurge as it is in your mind.0 -
I have the same problem, but I have learned to try replacing it with a healthier alternative treat that has lesser calories/fat/sugar. Then, let some 30 minutes go by and see if you still have the craving. Most of the time, it works.0

Me too, works so far0 -
I just take it one day at a time. If I'm bad today I try extra hard tomorrow. But I never beat myself up if I fail. I didn't gain all the weight in one day, one month or one year. So I just keep trying to do my best one day at a time.
We all have bad patches and we all get past them so don't give up. The two pounds you gained last week will melt away again next week once you get over your cravings:happy:0 -

This was really helpful. Thanks
Everyone has been helpful I kind of realize when I slack on entering my food I tend to splurge more0 -
If I cheat, I work to own it. So if I cheat I have to up my workouts, that simple. It works best when I plan it out but that doesn't always help since I am a carb addict. But it's that simple a life change for me. If I want something I know is going to be wayyyy over, I have to up my workout. It ends up making a loss into a win as far as I am concerned. I know I will never be a strict veggie eating person, I hate them so I had to devise a new strategy!0
