Am I crazy or is this a no no for me?

Super Hula Hoop on the Wii Fit!!! I love it, and it never used to bother me, but recently it seems that when I do it, my knees SCREAM at me the next day!

Am I losing my mind, or is hula hoop not so good on the knees??

The circular or jerky side to side movements could cause you knee problems - I had to give up step aerobics because of the lateral movements - but I run and that doesn't bother me, that's how I figured out it was the sideways or angled stress.

Knee pain is how I figured out that I had to work on my inner and outer thighs/quads Knees need the balance of balanced strength in all quads and that would become evident with any vigorous side-to-side or twisting exercise. Walking/running work mostly the front of the thigh and the hamstrings/glutes. Rather than abandon the exercise, lay off on it while you add exercise for the inner/outer quads.

Super hula hoop kicks my butt. I can do the first way and when I have to reverse it I look so funny.
