REALISTIC Goal Setting?

Hey!
So I thought setting myself some goals would help me reach my...well, goals. Bad explaination. I hoped that it would motivate me, keep me going and feel proud of myself for reaching them. These include both diet (in my case, eating more!! - Im skinny with bad habits) AND strength and fitness.
Ive set a few, like:
1: I want to see my abs (Im not that superficial its just one thing that I really want! and yes my body fat percentage is low enough)
2: Get a strong, stable core (lifting weights 4 days a week already)
3: Develop my legs, shoulders and arms (same as above)
4: Increase flexibility (tight hips and hamstring...only on the right leg?)
I've noticed that yes while I am getting much stronger, I dont feel like I am hitting my goals as they're so broad! I suck at goal setting. Has anyone any suggestions on how to approach this goal setting issue? Like, it seems I've been getting "
a strong, stable core" for months but it's hard to really feel the goal being hit when its so broad! Gah!
Tips? Thank you!

SMART goals -
1. Specific.
2. Measurable.
3. Attainable.
4. Results-Focused
5. Time-Bound
So like for your flexibility goal, instead of saying you want to be more flexible, maybe say you want to be able to touch your toes by August 31st. It says exactly what you want to do by when, and it'll be very obvious whether you reach it or not. Obviously that's just an example, so I don't know if it fits you or not, but I think it gives you the idea.0 -
