So what you've been doing is working great but now you'd like to try some crazy fad diet and some magic pills? No. Just keep doing what you've been doing! Don't fix what isn't broken - especially with complete nonsense.0

Why change what's been working for you?0

100% agreed. 1 lb/week is a perfectly healthy and normal rate of weight loss.0 -
You're doing great!! If it ain't broke don't fix it.0

Congrats on your weight loss. Keep doing what is working for you.0

You really don't need to follow any particular 'diet' unless you have medical/health reasons to do so. Like diabetes.
Congrats on your progress so far. What you're doing is working. Your mother may be of the popular mindset that it needs to be complicated, or cost money, to lose weight. Its really pretty simple. Eat less & move more. Accurately logging your intake, and finding activities you enjoy, are good ways to make that happen.0 -
just do what you are doing. you are doing well.0

You're making really great progress -- losing .5-1 lb per week on average is what you should be aiming for. Agree with everyone, don't waste your time, money and energy on fad diet plans/supplements (and many of these things either don't work and/or aren't healthy). Keep doing what you're doing!

Keep doing what you're doing. If your mom is struggling to lose and she's on MFP, tell her to invest in a food scale (measuring cups aren't accurate).0

Most who crash diet gain all their weight back plus a little more.
Do what you feel is right, but my advice to to stick to the MFP recommendations for slow, steady and lasting results.
GOOD LUCK

You didn't gain the extra weight quickly, why would you want to try to lose it too quickly and risk losing muscle? Your current rate of loss is great. Why mess with success?0
