Polar FT4 HRM

Hello! I am looking to get a HRM that shows how many calories burned and saw many people have the Polar FT4. Reading the reviews online, many have said it goes dead after 2 months or it just craps out on them. Has anyone had experience with this one or could suggest a better HRM for around the same price? thanks!

No. I've had mine two years half the time it spent in my trunk in Texas weather (my fault). Replaced the battery now seems to be fine. My first time using it again will be my next workout. If you get one register and take advantage of the warranty

I've had mine for about a year. Replaced watch batteries and got an extra strap. I use it more for checking I don't get my heart rate too high rather than calories, but it's very useful for both.
