ive only got 4lbs to go to get to my target. But these last 4lbs are proving hard to lose. Any tips. Do I need to up my exercise, change calories? I've been on the 5:2 diet, on the 5days I've been having 1500 cals.

Be patient. Make sure your logging is correct. Don't eat back too many exercise calories. Be patient.0

Yes, be patient. You're doing good!0

You definitely need to be patient. My last eight pounds came off at roughly one half pound every two or three weeks. Incredibly frustrating but if you stick with it, suddenly you wake up at your goal weight I also had to stop weighing more than once every couple of weeks in order to actually see the movement on the scales. You've got this!!0

How long have you been that close to your goal? I usually keep changing things up as I go.
Will you continue on 5:2 when you hit maintenance? Just being nosy! I did 5:2 for quite a while and really liked it As I've approached maintenance, I upped my calories and my exercise. It's coming off pretty slowly but I'm at the point where my scale weight doesn't matter as much.0 -
Make sure your being as accurate as possible. Since you don't have much of a deficit to play with, you need to be super precise. Weigh every little tiny thing with a scale and log it accurately, all the time.

Could try upping calories by 25-50 and see how that goes. Could also change up exercise, try something new.

Been trying for 3weeks to shake off last 4lbs. I was losing 2-3lbs a week until then. Can't do a lot of exercise due to health problems. I do walk everyday, between 2and 4 miles.
Yes will keep on 5:2 to maintain, I find it quite an easy diet to do. I do my fast days on the 2 days I work 8 hour shifts, I have less time to think about food lol.

It took me three months to lose the last ten pounds. You need to be very accurate with your logging. And patient. Good luck!0
