Not really the biggest change is whether my gi pants stay on after class.

That depends on where you live. I live in an area now where the winters are harsh and snowy. Before i lived in hot humid Texas where it got into the 40-50's.

Now it does. Before it didnt.

Also, i bike everywhere so that includes biking in the snow. So if you're driving, no?
  • big difference for me with my bottoms. Leggings in the winter, bike shorts in the summer

No. My gym and home gym are both heated and cooled so the temps remain fairly constant.

Nope! It's one of the things I love best about the gym: even in the deadest of winter, I am fit as a fiddle in shorts and a tank top. :)

Now, I have *quite* the winter outdoor running getup, and the amount of clothing I wear to bike to and from the gym in Jan-Feb is some next-level business, too. But I have to stand in the entryway and pretty much strip down to my workout clothes, or I'll overheat *fast*.

My gym is either too hot or too cold so mine changes daily :D

    Yes.

Winter it's usually joggers and a hoody.

Summer it's usually shorts... but I got some pretty nice joggers B)

Nope. T-shirt and pants at all times.

What in wearing has more to do with what my main lift of the day is. Bench days are almost always a shirt so I can chalk my shoulders so I don't slide around. Shorts or old pants on deadlift days. And whatever I feel like on squat days.

Same things in the gym: shorts, t-shirt or tank top. However my running clothes differ drastically from summer to winter when I'm outdoors!!

    Tights on leg day

Swim trunks and a compression shirt other days

Never sweat pants or long sleeve shirts

From the car to the gym isn't that far. I don't change what I work out in over weather. If I need a windbreaker I just wear one and toss it in my locker

No. I always go right after work, so I'm in my uniform.

I brave the 50 foot walk from my car to the gym in whatever. I already have to carry a gym bag, water bottles and other junk that I don't even want to deal with a jacket

In the winter I wear long leggings. In the warmer weather I wear capris.

The main difference is how much I sweat. I wish it were winter in my gym all the time.

In the winter I wear sweatpants over the shorts into the gym and leave them on for a few warmup sets. In the summer it is just shorts and t-shirt.

Not really. Most of my workouts are indoor but for ourside during winter I layer and keep my head and hands covered.

I wear shorts, sports bra, and a fitted tank to run (the only exercise I do). If it's cold out, I wear a zipup hoodie. Last winter, I finally broke down and got a pair of compression capris. I like staying cool when I'm running, but we had an unusually cold winter - although, relatively speaking - at least I'm not in Buffalo anymore :)

In winter my tights get longer, sleeves get longer and I add a hoodie. In summer, I tend to wear tank tops, layer bright sports bras with tops that have cut out backs etc. Suns out, guns out.

For yoga in winter I have toe socks with grips on the bottom and I tend to wear jersey harem pants and soft long sleeve tops, as opposed to 3/4 tights and racer back tops.

The summers here are hot and humid - it's still 35 degrees (95F) in the evenings and my gym is not air conditioned... And it's basically summer year round! You have to dress accordingly. It's worth the money for fabrics which wick away sweat.

For fencing, I have no choice as we have to wear our full kit. For BJJ, it is my gi and we get so hot that I wear short layers under it unless I have to wear long pants to keep the strapping around my knee on. For fitness, in the middle of winter I start with a warm layer over my usual shorts and t shirt, but that comes off during warm up.

It is much colder in winter, so yes, clothes change. Shorts and tank tops in summer, avoiding the gym completely during very hot days and focusing on swimming, sweatpants in winter.
