Zig-zag effects by day...how does a scale perceive them?

Hi! I started my diet at MFP like 2 months ago and it's been good. But since I wanted to loose 6 pounds, it's been very hard. For 2 weeks I could not break the Plateu...so I started a zig-zag diet...good ! I lost 2 pounds in a week. Now the problem is that on those days that I am supposed to eat more, I feel bad ... No body wants to feel heavy...yesterday,it was the first time I had a high calorie intake of 1700 and this morning i weighted myself : 2 more pounds on the scale?!! ... it's very frustrating to see the weight back on the scale for just one day of high intake... What am I supposed to do? Should I stick again to the 1200 cals or continue zig-zagging just to see if it works ?
Hope u can help me:/

Weigh yourself once a week. Increasing and decreasing calories between days is surely going to show on the scale daily. Pick one day a week. And resist the urge to track every day. The scale fluctuates too much to track like that.0

And this is a site that could help increasing and decreasing your calorie intake. I suggest you do this only when u have hit a plateu. Otherwise, why would you burn yourself?
So a zig- zag diet is basically eating more some days and less others. You do this when your metabolism thinks it's in starvation mode for eating the same number of calories for a period of time...

Like said above, weigh yourself once a week at most. Cycling your calories/carbs will cause water fluctuations which translate to varied numbers on the scale. I gained 9 lbs in two days due to crushing a huge bowl of oatmeal and Cookie Crisp right before bed:-)
Nothing to worry about!0
