I have decided that for the next week that I will focus on Lots of Cardio along with Ab workouts. I have been successful with losing 18-20 pds fluctuating...since I have been a member here. Normally I mix cardio with weights and this has transformed my body. As a result of this now I Cant get over the hump permanently. I think I should lay off the weights but I know that is whats changing the toning of my body and maker me leaner. I need help..because I want to get back in the ball game. I have had no problem with losing every 2 weeks but this go around just so tough. What would you suggest..I am 5'4..180..

Hey SC. Normally I would say switch up your routine. However, you seem to do a variety of workouts so I think you keep your muscules confused. If I were in your position, I would probably seek a professional's help. If you can find a nutrionist/dietician who is also a trainer that would be the best combo. Your health insurance would also cover the majority of the expense.

    Praying for you!

I'd starting doing high intensity interval training for shorter periods of time, rather than longer duration cardio. It burns more and keeps your metabolism higher throughout the day, at least that's what the research says. And keep up with the weights! Perhaps consider going a little heavier with lower reps on the weights to change things around. That will help build muscle and strength, which provides a more toned shape rather than just muscle endurance.

I would stick with just cardio until I make my goal. That's what I did and I made sense because I'm burning all these cals; yet, I am putting on weight because of the muscles getting heavier. Now I'm doing a combination of cardio and strength training but only because I reached my fat loss goal! I know you'll make a great decision:wink:
