Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows the maximum amount of water that a person should drink each day is?
I know it's more than 6L but not exactly sure how much more is safe.
Thanks

I've read that you take your weight, (ex: 200lbs), half it and drink that on ounces(100oz a day).0

Thanks bioklutz. I've already drunk 4.4L/148ounces so far today (and it's only 3pm) so I'll try to slow down0

It isn't a specific amount that can be lethal. It is different for each person.
The main issue with drinking too much water comes when you drink a large amount in a short period of time as it throws your electrolytes out of whack.
If you are thirsty drink but just don't sit there and chug litres of water at once.0 -
Assuming that you are not taking any medications or have any medical conditions that affect urine color, drinking enough so that your urine is light or clear and you are not thirsty is 'enough".
It's pretty hard to drink enough water to be harmful unless you drink a large amount in a short period of time. So, don't do that. There is no reason to guzzle water.0
