How do I use the add exercise portion of the program?

When I try to add strength exercises it just tells me they are not in the database. Is there some way I can see what is in the database?

Add your strength to cardio section and only eat half the caps burned then adjust accordingly

Exercises can only be logged under either Cardiovascular (for estimated time and Calories burned) or Strength Training (for a log of sets/reps/weights, but no estimated time nor Calories burned), but not under both. You have to choose the correct section for the exercise you want to log.

You can view the consolidated list on the Web version only, not the mobile apps.

On the Web version, navigate to EXERCISE > Database and click the down arrow to the right of "or choose an exercise below..." to show a consolidated list of both Cardiovascular and Strength Training exercises in alphabetical order.

Once you know the names of the exercises, you can then choose to log them under either Cardiovascular or Strength Training, depending which section is correct.
Add "Strength training (weight lifting, weight training)" to Cardiovascular to get estimated Calories Burned added to your Diary. Please note that the Calories burned for Cardiovascular exercises provided by MFP are based on published metabolic equivalent of tasks (METs), which are estimates for a general population and may differ for you as an individual. If desired, add individual strength training exercises, such as "Biceps Curl," to Strength Training to have a log of sets, reps, and weights as individual exercises.
