After a long time of people going crazy then watching the film then a new book coming out i caved in and thought i must see what is so good about Fifty Shades. I am half way through. Yes it is good. Yes i did get you know =)
BUT, i just find it like snippets from 18 cert films... ie 9 and a half weeks mostly. Not a unique book.
Next, i am reading unless by Carol Shields.

Just finished what I was reading. I hate trying to decide what I want to read next. There are just to many to choose from. Feeling overwhelmed. :|

Reading the Odd Thomas series by Dean Koontz. Love his stuff, but read all kinds of things.

Wow. I just finished the first book. Broke my heart at the end.

Recently finished the three book series The First Law by Joe Abercrombie. Awesome fantasy/history with great characters... and best names too. Logan Ninefingers .. a.k.a. The Bloody Nine.. you have to love a book with names like that!

I'm currently reading another Abercrombie fantasy series.. The Shattered Sea. I'm on book two, Half the World. I like this series just as much as the last.

I was in school for a long time and when I was done I had no desire to read for a long time. This writer has rekindled my love of reading for pleasure.

I just finished "Lee Child: One Shot" which they did the movie with Tom Cruise "Jack Reacher" based off of (the movie was awful.) I am now reading "Roadside Crosses" by Jeffery Deaver.

Currently not reading anything but my last read was Pray The Gay Away. Going to read the 2nd book of it soon. My goodreads account is also under the same name as here.

Did you like it? I've almost picked it up a couple times now.

I liked both of them. Very interesting and sad read.

I'm currently reading Phantom of the Opera. Bit boring to me at times. A classic though.

I just finished Slaughterhouse Five - a book for my book club. Found it a really interesting take on WWII, being lighthearted but also not skipping out on the big issues.
This book was crazy awesome. Love Kurt Vonnegut.

I have 50 Shades on my nightstand, but I can't read it because it's poorly written. I've been reading it for like two years lol. The other book is The Omnivores Dilemma, a non fiction about food choices.

Fifty Shades is probably one of the worst representations of the BDSM lifestyle / fetish out there today. You'd do better using it for firewood.

Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. It's brutal, and at points quite disturbing, but exquisitely written. His sentence structure and poetic use of language blow me out of the water. He won the Pulitzer for The Road, but Blood Meridian makes The Road look like a children's book. He should have won the Pulitzer for this one.
