I'm still on P90 - then I'm going to try P90MS, but afterward I'd like to try P90X LEAN, but I'm confused about where to get this.
Is it a separate program from P90X? OR do you just use a slightly different schedule?

P90X Lean is a variation of the P90X program.
P90X comes as "normal". Doubles (morning and evening workouts). And Lean (more focus on cardio, less on lifting).
They all utilize the same DVD's. The variations just reorganize the schedule of the DVDs.0 -

Ooh, OK. So if you order P90X, you just use a different schedule? I get it....0 -
As someone before men mentioned, it's the same DVDs, just different schedule. I am doing it, and I find it to be worth it.0

Honestly, I would recommend just do the Classic version of P90X. The program was designed that way. The lean version was a complete after though created for those women that feared getting muscular. That's not going to happen. Women in general lack the chemistry to gain substantial muscle. Even in men, the program is not designed to add huge amounts of muscle, it's designed to get you into shape not make you look like the Hulk. It will help shed fat to reveal toned muscle.
Do the Classic version your results will be much better.

Classic is the way to go. P90X is not a bulking routine.0 -
I think it does use a different schedule. My boyfriend is doing P90X because he's bored (sigh) and is making me do the LEAN version. I hear it does focus on cardio... so the way he described it was that I was "getting the same workout minus the bulging muscles..." then he proceeded to flex his muscles.... THIS is the reason he's my motivation. lol0

It's not so much a fear of getting too muscular for me... I am really scared to do that Plyo stuff. My knees pop and snap and hurt enough as it is just doing P90 sometimes. I just don't feel like I have enough control or strength to do all that leaping around.0 -
I just started P90X classic, well I'm on week 2. First week I did Plyo and the jumping was sucking...so I reread the book, and listened to the beginning of the video where Tony says you can sub in Cardio X until you get used to the program as a whole. So I did Cardio X this week, WAY better. There is some plyo in it, but not a full 55 minutes of it.
And remember, you can always modify the moves.
Don't be afraid, just jump and do it!!0 -

Thanks! I'm so afraid - I don't know why.
I switch from p90 1/2 to 3/4 next week and I'm all worried about it. I keep focusing on what I can't do (ab ripper 200 mostly)... I need to not think about it I guess0 -
I've almost finished my first round of P90X and I still can't keep up with them in every DVD. I'm close, but not yet. Doesn't matter how much you can do. It matters that you are doing it.0

My SO did the P90X classic version this past winter.. I'd like to do it as well but realistically the time committment is going to make it hard for me to keep at it consistently. (I have an irregular work schedule).
I was thinking of getting the 10 minute trainer series. Has anyone tried it? Is it worth it? I think that 20-30 mins daily would be something I could do consistently the weeks that work gets crazy but I really don't know about the full P90X series.
Know this is a bit off topic but.. I am trying to set myself up for success.0
