Since our bodies are changing , they are being put under stress due to exercise ,add the changes in diet . How has all this affected your mestrual cycle?
what's the good ,the bad and the unexplained ?

Significant weightloss will affect your hormones and thus yor period. When I was severely overweight I would have the neverending period (literally)...after my weightloss surgery I almost immediately became regular.

Aftger having my baby 9 months ago it did take a few months for things to even back out and as I lose the "baby" weight things are getting more normal again.

Mine used to be very light . Since I have started exercising almost every day and losing over 40 lbs, it has become very heavy from start to end.

I posted something similar to this a few days ago... My period started a week and a half early and had me concerned, but the ladies here assured me that it's normal.

I after losing 85lbs-noticed they only last 4-5 days, which day 1 being the heaviest. besides that nothing out the norm. I do also 'cramp' alooottt less.. & less headaches./

I have not lost that much weight, but I think the change in lifestyle has "re-arranged" my hormones. The birth control I was on for almost 2 years has now stopped working as well (early periods, heavier periods, acne) so I'm going to get it changed next week.

The change has been awesome for me.

Until last July, I'd been either pregnant or nursing for 8 straight years. I hadn't had a period since 2002. After my youngest was born in 2009, I had a tubal. When my period finally came back at the end of the summer last year, we discovered that I had post-tubal ligation syndrome. I was in absolute agony for the first three days of my 6-7 day period. Since starting my journey in February, my period only lasts 4 days on average and the horrific cramps have basically stopped. It's been wonderful.

I lost about 19 pounds and I'm on the pill( Loestrin 24FE, which gives you a three day period anyway!) and now I'm barely seeing anything. I may get it for like a day or two.. but nothing like it was before I started exercising and losing weight. Before I could count on the fact that it would start on tuesday and end on thursday.. and now its a guessing game.
