Giving the gym a chance

I started a weightlifting plan last night. I was all gung-ho on following it. So, I forced myself to go to the gym last night and do it. Fair enough. Right now, I'm already loathing going to the gym and doing tonight's workout. Heck, I'm looking forward to tomorrow which is a rest day.
Does it get easier or am I just a gym hater?
I can't seem to stick with anything. It all seems like such a chore. I know, I'm a whiner and I'm making excuses. I'm fully aware of that. But I'd love to hear from people who were in my shoes once and just kept pushing and pushing and finally started to love what they were doing.

It depends on you weather the gym is something that you want to stick to long term. You don't have to go to the gym to be fit and healthy. I worked out for pretty much a year at home on my own before I joined a gym and was at a pretty good starting point when I joined, but still learning all the time. Sometimes making yourself go to the gym is as much a mental game as it is physical. It's human nature to want to take the easy, most instantly satisfying option. Sometimes I would much rather watch TV after work and relax, which is easily done. But, that would not make me proud of myself. You have to be better than that.0

Thanks. I found this program that I thought I could stick with, only to realize I don't have a lot of the equipment needed at our condo gym. This is pretty much the norm because they are generally tiny and just have the basics. However, I'm moving in a month and the new gym actually has a dedicated area if you need the space to follow a video or something. My goal was to get a basic program started and then switch to a video program once I moved.0

Depends on the person. I hate lifting, will always hate lifting. I'd say, give it a shot for a while, but if you don't like it, find something else that you enjoy more.0
