If you're in a rush I love the microwave dinners called "gourmet steamers" or something like that ..they all say no preservatives and no artificial flavours, and they're low Cal , as well as delicious!! Just something incase you don't have time to cook . http://www.healthychoicecanada.ca/category/gourmet-steamers-1.aspx?lang=en0

Batch cooking these items once or twice a week can be helpful. Making some chicken on Sunday to get you to Wednesday, roasting sweet potatoes in large quantities, making quinoa or steel cut oats. You can also try legume salads or even 'burrito bowls' pre-made with chicken, rice, beans, vegetables, and later, add salsa or cheese to them.0

Crockpot will be your best friend, you can even get little ones for around $10 at Target and such places. If you get a really small one you can make overnight oatmeal and it will be done when you get up.
Throw your meat, starches, and veggies in, set it on low and it will be done when you get home. Save the leftovers (fridge or freezer) for later. In the winter I make a huge thing of chili for the week and live off that. Of course chicken works really good and you can even throw a bunch in unseasoned and use it for different recipes during the week. There are plastic liners you can buy for crockpots that cut down on the mess.0 -
Spice rub chicken. Make a dry spice rib of your choice in bulk and use it. I like madras Curry powder, garlic powder, ginger, salt, ground pepper, red chille powder. Rub it on the meat, broil or grill (7-8 minutes). this is delicious topped with fresh chopped mango or papaya and fresh basil.0
