Weighed haddock fillets from store - question?

I bought a saran-wrapped tray of refrigerated haddock fillets from the grocery store, and put it in the freezer. I just took it out, let it thaw, and rinsed it, placed it on scale, and it's 40g under the labelled net weight.
Label says 290g, weight after rinse is 250g.
So, I took off 40g of liquid??
Do I still use 290g to record?

You probably lost some water weight in there. Personally, since we're talking about a difference of about 30 calories, I'd use the higher weight myself.0

kk ill try weighing it in the package next time0

Weigh it after cooking, so any additional water is also removed.0
