I assume you mean you want to lose 2 lbs per week?
Have you plugged your information into MFP to see how many calories a day you should be eating to lose the amount of weight you want?

    First, see you doctor!

Next you have to accurately document what you're eating now. You have to be near perfect. Get a food scale and WEIGH EVERYTHING! Give up soda, drink water, cold turkey no excuses. After you've done that, you can think about reducing the amount of food you take in.

exercise is for general health and well being. You lose weight by being in a caloric deficit.

Meaning while you can workout, it isn't required for losing weight (though there are benefits such as maintaining lean mass (by lifting weights). More over not eating an extra 500 calories of food is far far easier than burning off 500 in calories.

    Good luck ^_^

Dancing is a great way to burn calories. If you fall off balance- not a big deal. Yoga for longer periods of time can be beneficial as well. Swimming is also great for calorie burn (and low-impact)

I was 280 and about 5'9 at the beginning of this year, down 72 pounds already. I'm a guy so I know it's completely different, but to me cardio is number one in exercising to loose weight and as stated counting calories is the biggest most important thing to do in general. I started out doing a slightly brisk walk one mile (about 17 mins) and it about killed me, and 7 months later I can average 3 miles in under 32 minutes and continue working out afterwards. Don't look at this as a short term fix, don't expect to drop 2 pounds every single week, it needs to be a lifestyle change, if you mess up one day and eat to much (which you will) don't say "oh well I messed up my diet guess I have to stop it altogether", to me realizing that was one of the hardest parts.

The first step is food. Getting moving is great but weight loss really comes from a calorie deficit, which you can create by eating less. Get used to logging your food accurately and staying at the calorie goal MFP gives you. Of course, finding an activity you like will be beneficial as well.

I'm 5'10", started at 299 and I do Zumba twice a week, a toning video twice a week, and the other days I just walk. Us tall girls carry the weight a bit better, so it's not quite as tough on our joints.

If I were you, I'd start with just walking. Get your endurance up a bit them add in some more rigorous cardio and eventually some toning/muscule strengthening stuff.

That being said, the absolute most important thing is your diet. Let MFP give you a calorie goal and log everything you put in your mouth. Make sure you're eating at a deficit and you should have no problem losing 2lb a week.

    Good luck!
