Help with tracking needed.

I track accurately with weights and actual measurements everyday....for about half the day and I can never seem to track accurately at all after that, IF I track at all.

I pre-track when I know what my meals are going to be in advance but dinner and some times lunch aren't in my control or are spur of the moment, and I don't seem to track them or evening Snacks.

This causing me to eat at maintanance (I'm not really losing or gaining) and with about 50 lbs to lose its not working for me. I know my setting are right as when I do track I lose EXACTLY what I'm set to lose.

Has anyone been in this situation and found a way to train yourself to track or any advice that may help? I've looked everywhere but no one has seemed to have asked this.

Going crazy that I haven't figured this out in 13 months!

Pre-logging is popular here but I don't do it. I try to track meals as I eat them, but I also do a final logging just before bed.

You know that you've really got to log your meals to make sure you're in a calorie deficit. It's the only way to go. Soooo, make it a self-discipline priority. Tell yourself: I will log everything I eat before I turn in for the night, and will strive to be as accurate as possible.

    Then do it!

I'm a big fan of the bar code scanner when i don't have time to cook.... And eating out is a breeze most times by the search menu. I don't always pre log but as stated above I log everything before bed no matter what. Good luck:)

It requires nothing more than just making yourself do it. If you are away from your computer write it in a little notebook...back of a napkin...on your hand. Then before you go to bed...log it.

I usually do mine as I eat since I have access to my computer all day. However...sometimes I will prelog it all or log it all at night. I have even gone back to the prior day and logged a food.
