Need help with substitutions !

I just went into the kitchen to make cupcakes, and realized that I am out of the required applesauce! Is there anything that you would recommend substituting for the 1/2 cup of applesauce?

    You probably won't have this either - but you can substitute pureed prunes or baby food prunes. Good luck!

    I had applesauce but it was moldy! haha. I do have regular prunes. But, I bought a new jar of applesauce! :)
