Are there any others in my boat? Dedicated herbivore (5 years), no animal products, would love to have plant-based buddies in my feed who are willing to share their meal diary to stay motivated.

I cook vegan for my family but I'm not a dedicated herbivore any longer (used to be for a few years). I do, however, have 50 lbs to lose right now. Not exactly what you're looking for but if you want a friend I'm available! ^-*0

Definitely look into happy herbivore meal plans and cook books! Here are great for weight loss and super cheap and filling!0

I'm vegetarian, have 76 lbs to lose by Valentine's day. Don't really cook much, but for breakfast I'm making a protein shake...Soy Milk, Bananas and Vega One protein powder French Vanilla flavor.0

I don't want to say I'm vegan because I don't like the label, it has become very negative in the past few years. I do not judge people for what they choose to eat, I don't preach and I don't get mad if my friends have meat on their plates. When I invite friends over to my house, I do not restrict them to my way of eating, they are welcome to bring meat/fish and slap it on the side of my BBQ, most vegans would say that I'm not vegan due to all of the above.
I eat only plants, I don't buy leather, fur or animal-derived products, my make-up and body products are cruelty-free and so is everything I choose to use. Also I try to buy second-hand whenever I can. Herbivore is a simple, calm, non-political term0 -

Hello all. Oh I have a solid 100 to lose to be at a good healthy weight. But I would rather wrapy head around...I need to be more active and healthy. My fella is a vegan though after reading this I like herbivore better.
I have been eating with him alot. Though sometime don't feel like I get enough calories. I realize this could be my old mind set....but I am really trying to be active. Running, walking, biking, yoga anything to move. Nutrition is key in keeping your muscles etc healthy. Do you have any troubles with nutrition?

As a herbivore it's very easy to eat right, protein is almost in everything, including kale
Great foods to add to your list: buckwheat, quinoa, lentils, mung beans, any legumes. Even a simple dish of brown rice with black beans and spinach mixed into it is absolutely packed with nutrients.
Being plant-based is very simple, look up 30-day vegan challenge, this should give you a nice basic start. Stick to whole foods and lots of greens, nothing from a box.0 -
Vegan here! I have been vegan for nearly 2 years, but since finding all the unhealthy vegan treats I've put on a bit of weight which I am trying to shift. I recently switched to a whole food plant based diet and the pounds are coming off already
It would be great to see what other vegans eat
I get your point about not identifying as vegan. I am not going to lie, I am a passionate vegan (for ethical reasons) and I don't like meat in my house or being around it generally, but I don't go around constantly ranting at people.0 -
