Hey :)

My husband wants me to think of something that we can do in the backyard that will get him running and moving around. He is very overweight (as am I) and anything up and moving is GOOD!

But I need some kinds of ideas to make it fun and keep it different...

Any suggestions?

It's not tough exercise, but it gets you moving around - especially if you're like me and your aim isn't that great!!

I do cardio boxing a lot, it's fun and you need nothing but yourself

Set up a circuit in your backyard! One station can be jumping jacks, one station can be bicep curls, one station can be jumping rope, etc. Play loud, fun, upbeat music. And rotate from one station to the next!! It can be a lot of fun! Even get the kids involved!

if you have any access to water, get in it! Swimming pool, lake, ocean - whatever. You can do cardio exercises in the water and it isn't as hard on your body but it is still great exercise and a fun way to keep cool in summer heat.

You can make a little course with thing from around your house..... broom sticks to jump over, use some string to make circles...or spray paint circles on the grass and go through them like football players do, add in what Jiggly said ...those are great things to do.
