I am just starting MFP and need help setting up my nutrient information. I am 5'6", 167 pounds, and want to lose 17 pounds in the next month. I need to know what to set my portions at: protein %, carbohydrate %, fat%, etc. Please help, thank you!

I don't think you're going to lose 17 pounds in a month. Maybe 7-9 weeks?
In any case, you should set it to whatever you want for satiety, satisfaction, and nutrient density. I personally do best at 40c/30/30 but thats just what works for me.

No way to lose 17lbs in a month in any sort of healthy way. You might want to set some more realistic goals.0

A starting point is 33/33/34. You won't hit that every day. You will have 30/40/30 days and many other combinations. Just try to notice how shifting macros makes you feel. Endurance athletes need more carbs to fuel those killer workouts, but insulin resistant people feel better with low carb. Some people feel more full with fat and protein. You just have to experiment. Good luck!0

Thank you all for your replies. I'm using voice recognition to type this and I want to lose 7 to 10 pounds this month, not 17 pounds! Anyway, I guess I will have to experiment.0
