Simple, cheap, healthy recipes!

Hi there; I'm after simple to make, cheap recipes preferably natural or containing very little preservatives for weightloss so low in sugar, saturated fat or carbs if possible. Also- natural sauces I can make to put on my veggies at lunch time.

Just the other day, I had some 4oz tuna steaks I bought frozen and they were that expensive. I'll try to remember to get the price the next time I get them. Anyways, I marinated them in Kraft Asian Sesame Lite dressing and and siracha. I then pan seared them to about medium! So good! Only took about 15 mins to cook. For the side, I used the frozen broccoli that steams in the bag in the microwave. After takin it out, i put a little bit of salt and ginger powder. SO good!
I live alone and have found that the steamable frozen veggies to be a life saver! I usually just make 2 servings of whatever meat I'm eating so I can make a plate for lunch the next day! I even thaw them out and put them in smoothies. It's cheaper and more practical. Living alone makes it hard to keep veggies fresh long enough to eat them bc I'm not goin to the store every few days to get fresh veggies.0 -
I have noticed if I buy fresh vegetables from a local market or organic, they don't go bad as quickly. Just something you could try if you really wanted fresh.0

Shop Saturday. Cook Sunday. Eggs in most any style. How about frying an egg and serving it over chopped greens? iCook tub o boiled eggs. Tub o oatmeal for breakfast. Stir in some peanut butter for protein if desired, or eat w an egg. Cook tub of soup. Brown 1/2 meat, brown onions, add broth, add collards/kale/turnip top, beans and spices like hot pepper, gigner and tumeric to increase metabolism and protect health. Make a dozen chicken, beef, salmon, turkey or veggie burgers. Freeze burgers and nuke for a meal. Eat of a plate with mayo, cheese, whatever on them to facilitate tasting them rather than diluting or adding carbs with bread.

Quinoa or rice and beans with a good salsa is my go-to. My whole family enjoys it. We eat it 1-2 times a week.0

Here are two suggestions:
- Mario Batali's basic tomato sauce. Delicious, simple, easy and can be the base for 100's of different things.
- A bechamel cheddar sauce with pureed butternut squash substituted for some of the liquid. Recipes are all over the net google "butternut squash" + "cheese sauce"
