Crockpot Freezer Meal Prep

I tried meal prepping but I didn't like the taste of my food being not fresh. So now I am considering doing crockpot meal preps. This way I can throw everything into a crockpot each night and have fresh cooked dinner ready.
Does anyone do this.. can you walk me through your process? Do you throw in all raw ingredients into a bag and freeze it.. or should you pre cook the meats? Does anyone do it for a full month in advance?
