Ripped one day, flabby the next?

I'm currently cutting, and l'm lifting 3 days a week to try to maintain lbm. Some days, I feel strong all day, and my muscles are swollen and look nice in the mirror. Other days, everything looks skinny and flabby, and I feel weaker. (These days don't seem to coincide at all with workout days or non-workout days).

What's going on? Just cycles of water or glycogen storage/emptying? Is there anything in particular that causes excess storage or release? Am I mostly imagining this?

    Interesting question, I was thinking something similar the other day. My tummy looked flat all day a few days ago but after that day I've got a pouch back! Don't understand how it can differ

    This happens to a lot of people. Some of it could be natural water fluctuations, but I really think it's mostly just mental.

    Without seeing your diet it's difficult to tell but carb, fluid and salt intake will all play a part in how the muscles look.
