Three weeks ago, I had emergency abdominal surgery, via keyhole, and since I've had an extended stay in hospital, and been unwell coming home so I've been very careless with my eating and my mobility hasn't been great.

Where would you start in terms of getting back my eating and exercise mojo back?

I can't swim at the moment because one of my wound sites is currently infected, and I'm walking as much as the pain will allow me, but everything is going flabby and I'm losing confidence in myself rapidly.

Any helpful thoughts?

Focus only on your food intake until you are ready for exercise. You can still lose weight and eat a healthy diet right now. Get back to good habits with your diet, portions and weighing and measuring. That's the biggest part of weightloss, exercise is beneficial but you need to listen to your body.

I had surgery on my foot and couldn't walk for 8 weeks, I also couldn't easily go into the kitchen and make food, I lost a good bit of weight bc I didn't move unless I was truly hungry.

    Focus on recovering for now.
