New to this.
Have discovered that my version of healthy eating doesn't contain enough calories/nutrients (Which probably explains why it's never lasted long in the past!).
So healthy vegetarian snack & meal ideas would be appreciated! (My brown rice & plain stirfry vegetables isn't quite hitting the spot!)
Currently having physiotherapy for my back, neck & shoulders following a car accident a while back, so exercise is a little limited, but trying my best!
Feel free to add as a friend as I could use the support.

I can't comment on being a vegetarian, but be sure to get at least 90 grams of protein a day. you should check out reddit. I'm sure there is a vegetarian subreddit that will have more than enough information for you.

I've been a vegetarian (mostly plant-based) for 8 years. Feel free to look at my diary/add me as a friend for ideas!
I admit stir fry is one of my favorite things. But the key is to mix up vegetables/grains/protein/spices. So, a few ideas:- Mexican: black beans, brown rice or quinoa, zucchini, bell pepper, jalapeno, onion, mushrooms, plantain, avocado, cumin, paprika
- Italian: garbanzo beans, barley, zucchini, eggplant, bell pepper, potatoes, garlic, basil, oregano
- Asian: edamame, rice, carrots, cabbage, broccoli, bok choy, sweet potatoes, garlic, ginger or soy sauce
Some of my favorite vegetarian snacks:- Hummus with carrots/celery/cucumber/peppers
- Apple slices with peanut butter and sprinkled with sunflower seeds/coconut/chocolate chips
- Roasted chick peas with literally any type of seasoning

I'm a vegetarian, also. I tend to overdo cheeses and flour products. A few snacks I love: lower fat and calorie Laughing cow cheeses with a few crackers, small amount of egg salad made with light mayo on 1 slice whole wheat bread, fresh fruit. Black bean patties are delicious with a side salad and 1/2 baked sweet potato. A new favorite is a zucchini crust (flourless) pizza made with sautéed onions and bell peppers, topped with fresh pineapple and jalapeños. I try to find ways to incorporate more fruits and veggies into my meals.....especially more veggies. I make a spaghetti soup that has far fewer carbs and calories than spaghetti, but gives me all the flavor. I load it up with onions, bell peppers, and of course tomatoes. Taco soup made with chili beans is a great option, too. I could go on and on lol. I try to take the meals I love and twist them in a healthier direction. It keeps me from feeling like I need to cheat, too.0
