Lose weight, I mean, like do you feel lighter? Do you feel any different? I have just started my journey 2 months ago (on the 9th of june it'll be 2 months) and I can't feel a difference. But like, I'm asking people who're almost done with their journey. My friend who was 243 lost 100 pounds and she said it felt like something was missing. Is that how you feel? Just curious and hopefully I'll find out the answer on my own in a couple of weeks!

I'm not done yet, but I'm getting closer every day.
I wouldnt say I feel lighter, but every once in a while, I go into the gym and grab a couple of 35lb dumbells and just hold them and say "This is how much extra I was carrying around."
I can notice the difference when I go places and can sit more comfortably, or I can navigate through tight spaces. But even at my heaviest, I never felt "fat" so now I guess, I really don't feel "less fat"0 -

That's great! I like the idea of picking up the weights to put things in perspective.0 -
YES! its an amazing feeling. i originally lost a small person. 105 lbs. (gained 40 of that back). but its like u walk by the mirror and u only see ONE of u when there used to be TWO! its an amazing feeling! and i used to dodge booths. when i went out somewhere i would ask for a table. i dont have to do that anymore. i dont think ill EVER get over the big girl mentality of it tho. i still see myself as being 305 when i look at myself nekkid. and i still have part of the self esteem i did back then. i do feel better, more confident... but once u allow urself to get that big, i dont think it EVER truly goes all the way away! at least not the mental aspect of it anyways.0

Not sure if I physically feel different. I lost 200+ pounds after gastric bypass 4 1/2 years ago. I do still catch a glimpse of myself in windows or mirrors and have to look twice because I still don't realize that's what I look like. For a long time I continued to go straight to the plus size clothing section first even when I did not wear those sizes anymore.
When you have been overweight your whole life it is a bit disconcerting when men flirt or hold doors open for you when you never had that happen before. As big as I was I felt secure in my fat suit and when that was gone it made me feel uneasy for a long time. Most of your feelings I found are mental not physical.0 -
I didn't have that much to loose and it took a loss of about 12/13lbs before I could even mentally admit to myself that I needed new clothes.
Even today (20lbs lost) I am wearing trousers at least a size too big for me.
I don't feel lighter as such - I still get that bloated feeling if I overeat [which I rarely do these days] and I still feel horrible around my period.
It's mainly with my clothes that I notice the difference. I fit into my skinny jeans again now.... They were jeans I bougth when I lost 3 stone in 2006.. When I was a size 8 !! Which means I am a size 8 again !!!0
