Today I didn't get to walk due to an appointment during my only bit of free time and now it's too dark and the bears and coyotes are out. Tomorrow is going to be difficult too because I'm off to meetings and have ferries and such to catch.

I have a very irregular schedule due to my work. I'm going to have to get very creative in order to be able to walk like I want to. I am not concerned about the days I work on the farm. There's plenty of activity there.

Thanks to those who have added me and are messaging me. I'll reply soon!

Do you need to walk? Could you skip or do something else you can do inside when it's too dark.

That is one plus side to 24 hour gyms, work out at odd times no matter the weather.

I love to walk. If I can't do it I won't get too bummed out but it's disappointing not to be able to get out there and enjoy the fresh air. Tomorrow is a farm day and I hope the weather is good. I am an outdoor person.

I"m just problem solving little challenges. I'll figure it out.

I'm off to the island today. I have meetings where there is wifi but I'm fairly certain logging food isn't on the formal agenda so I scanned what I'm taking and hopefully I can find some food choices there that aren't too awful.

The weather isn't usually too much of a deterrent for me, I've invested in some waterproof gear.

Can you not walk inside? I'm saving up for a treadmill, but in the interim, I have to do 90% of my walking indoors. I have a circuit from the living room to the dining room to the kitchen to the hall and back to the living room, and I usually get over 20,000 steps per day.

    If there's a will...

    ;)

I enjoy walking outdoors. I'm not desperate enough for walking to walk in the house. When I'm in the house I am walking much of the time anyway and walking for me isn't exercise so much as stress release..it's the outside that I need more than the walk. Good for you for finding something that works for you. My mother walks inside also when she can't get out.

I just returned from a crazy busy day. Ate fries and gravy and a huge dessert with whipped cream.

    That's a complete lie.

I ate breakfast before I left and took some healthy snacks. Kept myself sustained until I got back for supper. Had a big salad and some pasta. It was yummy.

It's dark now and my house is requiring some work. Lots of steps in the next few hours.

Hope everybody had a wonderful day. I did. A very successful one. I enjoyed it immensely.

This is going to be a good day and although the sun isn't shining it's not raining. I have no scheduled appointments for work until Sept 9 and so now have a more flexible schedule. It's so much easier to cook and eat and keep track from home. :)

I was doing some thinking about this new relaxed approach to weight loss. You know, for me, it's about letting go of guilt and being not so hard on myself. I recall up at the top where somebody seemed to want to pin me down as to why I ate french fries one day and the fact of the matter is, if I ate fries because I had little choice or if I ate fries because they taste awesome or if I had them because it was Tuesday..that was my choice. I am quite at peace with my choices these past few days. I kind of only glazed over the posts that seem negative or demanding because, well, they're not important.

I haven't walked. It was truly a choice there also..because I could have walked after dark or around the house inside or whatever but I chose not to and I'm fine. I don't believe NOT walking is something to get all crazed over at this point. I'm committed to my journey in whatever form that takes.

Perfectionism is a huge detriment to success in any endeavor. Giving up because there was a bit of a glitch or uncharted portion of the path is a huge pitfall.

I feel I need to lose this weight. I feel I need to do my best. I feel like it's up to me to create the path and follow it given my own reality and my own understanding of what needs to be done.

And there will be fries and they will be absolutely ok.

Good bye "shoulds" because the "best I can dos" is gonna kick your *kitten*!

Excellent week so far. I've been fairly calm and relaxed for the most part while things around me are a bit wild!

I have stayed below the calorie range recommended and while I haven't been as active as is probably required I have slept better. Feeling balanced and energized and hopeful. I think so much is mind set.

My kitty had a bit of a bad day yesterday but seems on the up today.

    Hope everybody is well.
    Cheers

Great to see your updates. You might want to read more about "All or Nothing Thinking" which can get in the way of success sometimes.

I think you are well on your way to figuring this out.

Hi; Yeah...I think that sums up a pitfall I'm trying to avoid. Thanks.
