I find as I age and I'm now beginning to put my kids in dance, swimming, ice skating etc. got me thinking. Has anyone tried anything new?
I was thinking of trying a jujitsu class.
I'd like to maybe learn to dance, but feel I'm too old and so uncordinated.
What are things you'd like to learn or try??

DANCE! like no one is watching. It's no one's business if you are old and uncoordinated. My niece loss lots of weight doing Zumba. Or purchase an exercise tape and dance at home.0

Not really new-I used to ride my bike all over the place as a kid!
I just ordered a beautiful hybrid bike after riding at the Jersey shore for 2 weeks! I can't wait to get out of the gym and onto my very own bike at age 61!!!!
I got a helmet and basket too!0 -
So awesome! I've been doing some soul searching and have been thinking about my childhood and the things I wanted to try. I get a joy just thinking about trying it now. Great on you healthy green for getting the bike! Enjoy it0

My boyfriend and I started jujitsu about 2 months ago and we love it it's so much fun... It took a couple weeks to get down the basics and get used to wrestling men but after that I've been sweating hard and it's so awesome . I really recommend it it's really empowering and fun0

Ps it's also extra fun to do it with your significant other because we've created a different kind of bond with this new hobby were both into we've both also both been losing weight like crazy hehe0

Yes! I've done a few classes and would love to get into it. My hubby is VERY good at it so I don't think he'd want to pair up with me he wants to learn more at a higher level. I'll just work my way up to his level then kick his butt:)
It's so much fun!0 -
I'm 35 and have been thinking along the same lines lately ie. new things to take up. Going to the gym is pretty new for me but is a part of getting myself healthy. I started taking a body balance class, got myself onto roller blades (I used to skate when I was a child) and I've been thinking of taking up a dance. I think my mid-life crisis is kicking in early lol0

I tried a water aerobics class this summer. It wasn't for me, mentally it was a big boost to have tried something new.0

My new hobby is eating less calories.0

Joining the gym back in January was brand new for me, very scary at first. I stayed in the women's workout room for about a month. I then pushed myself to go to a boot camp class 3 times a week, and the Zumba twice a week. I really enjoyed all of it, after a while... I sometimes take a little warming up to get used to the moves and the teacher.
The new thing I'd like to try is Title Boxing0 -

DANCE! I started taking ballet and Salsa dancing lessons last year.
Also last year I bought first a folding bike and then, in April, a road bike. My longest ride so far was 65 miles and I'm signed up for a century ride next month (may only do 75 miles).
Also, although I had been going to work out classes like Body Pump and Shred, I recently started working out in the gym by myself - something I never thought I'd do.
This morning, at a fitness conference, someone said they were inspired by how I looked in a bikini. I'm pretty impressed with me too. lol0 -

I have kids in baseball, soccer, martial arts, wrestling, tennis and football.
I was only in a few sports, but seeing the kids engaged in new activities drew me in. I joined a softball team, played soccer and picked up tennis again after 20 years.
Life is too short not to try new things! It keeps us young at heart!

At 28 I went back to my childhood passion - horseback riding. At 37 I took up pole dancing. At 41 I've taken up aerial silks. Life is short. Try everything.0

We have the same interests! That's def my plan once I can leave my kids for awhile is to start horseback riding again! I love horses. I've always wanted to try pole dancing to intice the hubs and aerial silks just looks so beautiful! I was admiring some girls doing it at my daughters gymnastics!
Good on ya! I bet that's a great workout.0 -
I took up running. and will be taking up silks and lyra when it is offered at the studio I belong to
I do aerial yoga/aerial hammock now and preweight loss journey (aerial yoga is available in your area)0 -
A few months ago, I took up yoga. I now can't imagine my life without it. I've stopped thinking of yoga as a "workout" and now it's just life.0

I am beginning running! I used to joke that if you saw me running, you should too, because something was on fire or someone was bleeding! I am also using the Jacob's Ladder at my gym. I saw it and immediately wanted to try it, and it is a crazy effective workout, I love it, and don't even care if I look silly. :-)0

cycling...not just riding a bike, but actually the sport of cycling and learning to group ride as a team. It's a blast.0

I tried cardio kickboxing and I loved it! Really helped me with my flexibility.0

I did aikido for a year and loved it, but left due to a disagreement with the sensai (I felt like everyone was just being granted belts because he needed more money).
Then I tried rowing, which was was a lot of fun, but too far to travel in traffic to be practical.0 -
Long distance running. I never thought I'd be signed up for a half marathon, but I am! I also find myself trying new exercises every week from yoga to rock climbing, but running is still my number one. I love to move now.0
