I am sooooooooo in! I am starting today after I get off of work..... Usually on Thursdays I go an a 45 minute intense hike with a co worker... Do you think I could still do that and sub out one of the p90x days and still be fine????
Well Not sure but. I work out during my lunch at the gym in my building and I do P90X in the evenings. If you do end up doing that use Thursday as your "rest day" which is day 7.0 -
I started the P90X and did 2 weeks before holidays hit and I screwed it up. I am ready to start again, seeing this just might kick my butt back into gear.0

I would love to join y'all. I am on Day 3 Week 2. The exercises are a little easier already. Last week I felt like I ate to much trying to follow the diet they suggest. So this week I am going to eat what feels right and try to keep up with calories.
I am not following the meal plan, I stick to eating 1800-2200 calories a day and I am losing weight with this range.0 -
Hey Everyone - so I just finished Shoulders and Arms and Ap ripper x for today. I'm on day 3 of week 3, and its amazing how much improvement I'm already feeling!
Good luck everyone!0 -
I started this morning! I did chest/back and ab ripper. I'm also training for a marathon that I'll be doing in August. I'm really hoping I'll be able to keep up with both training programs
I don't follow their diet, either. I am trying to be even more conscious of what eat, cutting refined carbs and sticking to 1600-1800 calories.0 -
Completed Day 1 today (Chest & Back + Ab Ripper X). Feeling good - know I am going to be sore tomorrow haha.
I keep hearing that following the diet plan really works - maybe it is just eating clean and following the macronutrients? I am trying to figure out how to make it work for me - I eat pretty cleanly most of the time anyway. I know, I should up my calorie intake for it a bit, so at least eat 1800 during this program.0 -
Completed Day 1 (restarted) Cardio X last night. I am doing the lean program. My knees are sore today..which may be a combinaion of the stress all my working it is putting on my body. Going to rest from the gym today so I can focus on P90X tonight. Need a bit of recovery.
I don't know about that diet plan...I just can't picture myself eating 8 egg whites. Some of the other food looks alright. I still stick to my 1800-2200 Calories a day for now.0 -
Hey! I hope I can join you guys. I am pregnant, but doing modified P90X...I started again today with week 1. I also "eat clean", a la Tosca Reno. I can't recommend that diet more! (Look up "Eat Clean Diet"). I don't count calories too much on it. I replace ab ripper/core synergistics with a pregnancy dvd. Anyone doing a lighter version of P90X?0

So last night I completed the arms & back and the ab ripper x.... It was hard trying to find motivation to workout.... I work 10 hours a day and then my driving time is about 2 hours all together so by the time I get home I just want to veg out. But I did finally force myself to do it. Now I'm tired, but I'm thinking I need to up my weights. Today after work I'm going to do a hike that is pretty intense, but I love it! Hope everyone is doing well so far.0

Lynn - Congrats on the pregnancy! I think a light version of P90X could be okay, take it easy on the weight lifting though
Pammy - good job on doing Cardio X!
I just did Plyometrics this morning. I am following P90X classic. I am sore from Chest & Back last night, and Plyo wasn't too bad, really. It's good to change things up a bit.0 -
I work 10 hours a day, but only get 30 minutes for lunch.... so working out during that time is impossible :sad:0
-
Completed Shoulders & Arms & AB Ripper X...starting to feel a little sore in my abs right now! Love the pain. I am going to start doing the Jillian Michaels 6 Pack Abs a couple nights a week too I think...well we shall see that is. LOL Tomorrow...Cardio X since I don't do Yoga X0

Do you use just any HRM? Where do you get on and does it tell you how many cal you burn?0
-
alright did first 2 days last week - then had so much going on over the weekend with daughter's dance recital that I could not squeeze in workout too - although my hubby certainly did :P
anyway, day 3 yesterday - well late last night - nothing like working 10 hours, t-ball game, putting 2 kids to bed & then doing Shoulders/Arms X & Ab Ripper X. needless to say it was pretty much shower & bed after that by that time.
feel good so far today - probably won't be sore until later in the day like after my 1st 2 days.
trying to decide what to do exactly for diet though - hard to follow their nutrition plan closely - i hate hate hate shakes except for ones I buy at Costco - I do have to cut back on carbs though, that is by far my downfall.
tried to change settings on here but having a hard time. tells me I won't lose weight - won't change calories expended basically even though i changed workout goals.
I put in 1800 calories/day - 2400 calories from exercise per week - just figured roughly 400 calories 6 days a week & changed carb/prot/fat ratios --- does that sound right?
so we'll see how it goes. have to take some pics now too I guess.0 -
The diet plan is tough in the first phase. I don't like to drop my carbs so low because I know I will lose a lot of energy - plus the protein shakes I drink have a lot of carbs in them, and I eat a lot of fruit and veggies. So, I am just going to keep doing what I am doing even though I did change my macronutrients in MFP to the fat burner phase. I am just trying to lower my carbs some and up my protein, and hope that it still works.0

Finished day two - plyometrics - this morning. Will blog about it later!0
-
Finished day 3...arms and shoulders plus ab ripper x. Great workout!0
-
I just found this post - I finished day 3 of the first week of P90X classic yesterday. I am definitely sore, but excited about doing this alongside others. Yoga tonight...0
-
I will be doing Week 2, Day 1 tonight - Chest & Back + Ab Ripper X. I have found that Kenpo X is too slow for me, so I have gotten my hands on a copy of Kenpo Cardio Plus, which I may switch in for it.0
