Foot Pain.

So I have been not working out for about 2 months then monday I made it out to walk I made it 5 miles, yay But now my right foot hurts badly just walking from my bedroom to my kitchen. I didn't feel any pain the day of, and I though it would have gone away, but no 4 days later it is still hurting, I don't know what I did let alone how to make it get better. Has any one had this happen? Any ideas? Making an appointment Monday if I cant get it better myself.

Make an appointment ASAP, don't wait until Monday if at all possible.
The condition could be a sprain, gout, infection, or other things and if it has persisted for 4 days it's time to get treatment.

Very smart to go in and have it checked before taking advice from strangers on the internet. It could be something like plantar fasciitis they can give you a few exercises for, maybe you need better shoes, or any myriad of foot problems. Good luck and take it easy until you know what you are dealing with.0

Arches strengthen just like any other muscle. If the pain is dissipating, it's probably not too worrisome. Just overworked arches (assuming that is the area that hurts as that is a common problem). If you walked on a paved road or anything with a slope, and didn't switch directions of travel, then the sloping could have put more stress on the right foot (assuming you walked against traffic). Could also be a sign of pronation, hard to say without a mechanics expert (or second person) looking at your form. Could be a tweaked ankle. Not uncommon for one ankle to be a little stronger than the other, so longer distance walking may have stressed it a little more. Lots of possibilities considering you took a long break from exercise and then went on a 5 milk walk.0

thank you guys. it is the out side of my right foot (non-arch side) and it does go up to my ankle. Calling Doctor now guys, just to be safe. I am just really want to get moving again and not sitting around.0

rumijs thank you. it was very slopped walk on hilly ground, so that may have caused it.

It might be a little late for icing, but see if that provides some relief until you see the doctor. My doctor says alternate heat and ice, whatever feels better.
Never neglect your stretches after a run.0
