How do I follow my own posts?

Pretty new to this. When I comment on someone's message, how do I follow that message later? Do I need to "bookmark" it in order to easily find it, or is there an easier way? Thanks for any help on this.

    So far from what I've noticed, you must bookmark the thread and keep an eye on it.

    You bookmark it by clicking on the star in the right hand top corner of the thread.
