Three years ago i lost alot of weight...about a year and a half ago i had an injury that side lined me fitness wise for several months and i consoled myself with cupcakes. I ended up putting back on close to 20 lbs. I love working out and have no problem with that but, i cant seem to stop the binges once or twice a week. I tend to go off the rails those days. I am getting so frustrated with the size that i am right now and i am so disapointed in myself for what i am doing to myself. I start off the day with such good intentions and then BAM have chips or a cupcake and it starts all over again. Working at a grocery store with the best bakery around doesent help either. I will see my clothes getting looser or the scale moves and then i sabatoge myself and feel like i have to start all over again. Just frustrated and venting....

I am having the same problem, I feel really bad, after I do it,all I can say is just keep trying, I am hopeing to get back on track and stay there,0

Prelog. I have pre logged my popcorn and a stupid amount of frozen yogurt for tonight. It fits in my weekly goal so I don't feel bad.0

@LiveLoveLift48 many of us are in the same cupcake boat. In my case of failing health and at my age I just finally said bye to food containing grain and/or sugars. Now that I am free from urges to sabotage my health it feels great both mentally and physically. I know some say my approach is too simple but after 10 months with this approach I plan to keep it for life (double meaning intended).
I do not advocate this for anyone not interested in giving it a shot because while it is awesome now the first two weeks were hellish. I had known it was an option for years but just never had hit rock bottom.
Doctors offering me Enbrel injections for pain manage helped wake up and look at my eating options in a real way. I actually did not believe it would cut out my arthritis pain and other health issues and I still have a hard time understanding it worked in my case. For sure I do not understand how it worked so well for me.0 -
I have the same problem. I used to be a dancer, and with my level of activity I could eat whatever I wanted. I have been out of dance for a year and I am having the hardest time controlling myself around sweets. I have to watch what I eat now, but I don't waaaaannaaaa0

@HailzEL it is good to see young people looking at food concerns. I grew up on a farm where manual labor ruled. I ate what we grew in the way of carb and protein and a lot of it. We did have some sweets and always sweet tea.
I burned every calorie I could put in my face but later when the burned rate slowed I keep eating but 40 years ago there as not a not of talk about health and diet connections.
If 40 years ago I had known to modify my diet when I was no longer doing manual labor I may not have been messed up with arthritis.
Keep watching and reading and I am sure you will head off weight/health issues before they can even develop.0 -
Eat less the other days. I keep a deficit to make up for the days when I know I'll go over (occasional binges, but usually they are caused by PMS but then turn ugly).0
