Hi! I realized that I have the motivation to lose weight, my Grandchildren! Food has been my go to and need to redefine my relationship with it.

Great news , you've taken the first step then !
Get yourself a food scale and weigh every thing you consume !0 -
Welcome to MFP.
Last year at 63 and the kids just 16 I realized I had to get serious about my eating if I was going to be able to keep moving. I had played again with dieting and lost down to 230 from 250 but last Oct I got serious. Just under 200 now for the first time in 22 years.
I knew I had to act now or never. Now that eating for health is becoming a way of life I do not know why I did not do it long before.
Keep up your goal. Kids, grandkids, and others can be life savers.0 -
For us grandparents, losing weight can be a slow process. It's important to set a daily, unchanging calorie goal that you can stick to without feeling deprived. If you don't have one, you will need a good food scale.
Good luck and stick with it.0
